King’s Novice Anaesthetic Course — Terms & Conditions

Effective from 1 January 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings for the King’s Novice Anaesthetic Course (“the Course”). By registering, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility & Professional Responsibility
- Designed for novice anaesthetic trainees and early‑stage clinicians.
- Content is educational only and does not constitute patient‑specific clinical advice.
- Delegates must comply with professional standards, employer policies, and local supervision requirements.
- Practical skills should only be applied in clinical settings under appropriate supervision.
3. Booking & Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed once payment (or approved purchase order) has been received and a confirmation email issued.
- The organiser may decline a booking; any payment taken will be refunded in full.
- Delegates must provide accurate information during registration.
4. Fees & Payment
- Fees are as published at the time of booking.
- Payment is due immediately unless invoicing has been agreed.
- Invoiced bookings are payable within 14 days of invoice date.
- Any bank, currency, or transfer charges are the delegate’s responsibility.
5. Discounts & Group Bookings
- Discounts (if offered) are discretionary and may be withdrawn before booking.
- Group bookings must supply complete delegate details prior to the event date.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cooling‑Off (Consumers): Consumer bookings made online may have statutory cooling‑off rights. If course access begins within this period, the right to cancel may be affected.
Delegate Cancellations
- 30+ days before the event: Full refund (minus non‑recoverable processing fees).
- 14–29 days before: 50% refund.
- <14 days before or non‑attendance: No refund.
Organiser Changes
- We may adjust venue, faculty, schedule, or move delivery online if required.
- If the course is cancelled completely, a full refund of the course fee will be issued.
- If rescheduled and you cannot attend, you may request a refund.
7. Transfers & Substitutions
- Name substitutions allowed up to 72 hours before the event.
- Transfers to a future course may be available up to 14 days prior (subject to availability).
- An administration fee may apply.
- Only one transfer per booking unless otherwise agreed.
8. Course Delivery & Certificates
- Course content and faculty may be adjusted for quality or operational reasons.
- Delegates must complete any required pre‑course tasks.
- Certificates of attendance will only be issued once the required feedback has been submitted by the delegate.
- Certificates are issued electronically within 7 working days after feedback submission.
- Details of CPD accreditation, if applicable, will be published separately.
9. Behaviour & Safety
- We provide a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Delegates may be removed (without refund) for unsafe, discriminatory, abusive, or disruptive conduct.
- All venue rules and health & safety instructions must be followed.
10. Accessibility
Delegates requiring adjustments should notify us at least 14 days prior to the event. Reasonable adjustments will be made where feasible.
11. Intellectual Property
- All course materials remain the property of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust or licensed contributors.
- Materials are provided for personal learning only.
- Recording or sharing course content without written permission is prohibited.
12. Photography & Media
- Photos or short videos may be taken for quality assurance or promotional use.
- Delegates may opt out on the day.
- Delegates must not record sessions without permission.
13. Data Protection (UK GDPR)
- King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the data controller for course‑related data.
- Information is processed to manage bookings, deliver training, and issue certificates.
- Data may be shared with internal teams and approved service providers.
- Delegates have UK GDPR rights including access, correction, and erasure.

14. Liability
- The organiser will deliver the course with reasonable skill and care.
- Liability for indirect losses (e.g., travel, accommodation) is excluded where legally permitted.
- Total liability is limited to the course fee paid, except where prohibited by law.
- Delegates remain responsible for clinical decisions.
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control (e.g., severe weather, transport disruption, IT failures, public health restrictions). We may modify delivery, reschedule, or cancel if necessary.
16. Third‑Party Venues
Delegates must comply with all policies and requirements of any third‑party venue used.
17. Dietary & Special Requirements
Please notify us of dietary or additional requirements at least 7 days before the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
18. Complaints
Complaints may be raised with faculty on the day or emailed to knac@medicalsim.uk. We aim to acknowledge within 5 working days and respond fully within 20 working days.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
20. Updates
These Terms may be updated periodically. The version in effect at the time of booking applies.
21. Acceptance
- You have read and accept these Terms.
- You meet eligibility requirements.
- You consent to essential course communications.
